White beach of crushed coralline algae.
The “coral” at Coral Beach is really maerl — sun-bleached coralline seaweed washed up white, which turns the shallows a gorgeous turquoise. It’s an easy 20-minute walk from the car park at Claigan, north of Dunvegan. Popular, so come early in summer; you can carry on to a low grassy island just offshore when the tide is out.
