Ancestral MacLeod seat on a sea loch.
Five acres of formal and woodland gardens wrap around Dunvegan Castle, the MacLeod seat on Skye’s north-west coast — a Round Garden, a walled garden and water gardens laid out against the older, sterner castle above the loch. Castle and gardens open together across the season (spring to autumn) with an admission charge. The Dunvegan Hotel is in the village nearby.
