Approximate location — this spot is pinned to the nearest village, so the exact point may be a little way off.

MacLeod’s Maidens are three sea stacks standing off Idrigill Point on Skye’s Duirinish coast, the tallest known as the Mother. You reach them either on a long, remote cliff walk in from Orbost, near Dunvegan, or on a boat trip out into Loch Bracadale. It’s committing on foot — several hours there and back with no facilities — so pick your weather.
