In a 1790s building on the harbour at Stein, Loch Bay serves just six tables, chef Michael Smith applying classical technique to hand-dived scallops, langoustines and lobster from the surrounding waters. It is an unhurried stop on the Waternish peninsula, easily paired with a wander round Stein village or the Iron Age broch of Dun Hallin above.
