Benllech is a broad, sandy Blue Flag beach on the east coast, with gently shelving water and lifeguards in summer, which makes it an easy family choice. The village behind it has the usual seaside shops and cafes. It’s a fair way from the railway — Llanfairpwll is the nearest at around 11km south.
