Just east of Dunbar, Barns Ness is a rocky, fossil-rich foreshore beside a disused lighthouse — a favourite spot for geologists poking about in the limestone. There’s a small car park close by, and it makes an easy, uncrowded stop on the coast. Dunbar station is about 4km west.
