Stenton is a quiet conservation village up in the Lammermuir foothills, worth a slow look for its restored rood well by the green and a pleasingly unspoilt feel. A nice detour off the busy coast road if you’re pottering between Dunbar and the hills. East Linton station is about 4km to the north-west.
