A tall brick tower mill in the south-Leicestershire village of Ullesthorpe, paid for around 1800 by local people who clubbed together by subscription. It ground corn until the 1890s, then lost its sails but kept much of its wooden machinery, and a local trust now looks after it. It stands on private ground, so it’s a landmark to view from outside rather than a place to wander in.
