A waterfall on the Trotternish coast of Skye, tumbling down a wooded gorge towards the sea, with a viewing platform above
On the east coast of the Trotternish peninsula on Skye, the Lealt River drops through a deep, tree-lined gorge on its way to the sea. There’s a car park on the A855 and a short path out to a viewing platform on the cliff edge, looking down the gorge and out across the water to the mainland — take care near the drop. Just up the road are Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls, where another fall spills straight off the cliff into the sea, and the village of Staffin with its beach. It makes an easy stop on the coast road round the peninsula.
