Skye's great toppled rock pinnacle, above the Sound of Raasay.
The Old Man of Storr is a towering rock pinnacle on the Trotternish ridge, standing above Loch Leathan on Skye’s east coast. It’s one of the island’s most famous and most photographed walks. From the car park on the A855 a steep, well-made path climbs up to the base of the pinnacles in an hour or so. Popular enough that the car park fills early, so an earlier start pays off.
