Come to Woodhouse Eaves to walk. The stone-built Charnwood village sits at the foot of Beacon Hill, one of the highest points in Leicestershire, with the waymarked trails of Broombriggs Farm climbing straight up from its edge. The houses are built of the local Charnwood slate and granite, and it makes a favourite starting point for the forest and its rocky tops.
