Watchet is a working little harbour on the West Somerset coast, its marina backed by fossil-flecked beaches under red cliffs. A statue on the quay honours Coleridge’s Ancient Mariner, whose voyage is often tied to this port. The West Somerset Railway steam line calls at the station. Good for a wander round the harbour.
