Coleridge walked these combes: Holford sits where ancient oak woods run down off the Quantocks, on the Coleridge Way that traces his old routes between the hills and the sea. It’s a small village, a quiet base for walkers heading up onto the open tops. Bishop’s Lydeard station is about 12km to the south.
