Crowcombe gathers on the south-western slope of the Quantocks around the Grade I Church of the Holy Ghost, known for its carved medieval bench ends. Opposite stands a church house of 1515, one of the oldest in the county still in use. Bishop’s Lydeard, the southern terminus of the West Somerset Railway, is about 6km down the road.
