Torrin is a small crofting village on the shore of Loch Slapin, on the road out to Elgol. It sits right under Bla Bheinn (Blaven), the great outlying Cuillin peak, which fills the view across the loch. There’s a marble quarry nearby and a little café in the village. The Elgol road carries on to one of Skye’s finest viewpoints, looking across to Loch Coruisk and the main Cuillin ridge.
