A handcrafted wood-fired sauna on a croft on the edge of Broadford, with views across the fields of south Skye

Suilanu is mainly a women’s retreat, but its sauna, the first on Skye accredited by the British Sauna Society, also takes solo travellers, locals and private groups. It stands on Croft 4, about a mile outside Broadford, with a large glass door facing the croft and hills. There’s no sea or loch here; you cool off with rinses and fresh air. Sessions are arranged by email.
