Sheringham keeps its fishing-town feel behind a promenade and a blue-flag beach, with heathy hills rising close behind. The town station is the coastal terminus of the Poppy Line, the North Norfolk steam railway that runs to Holt. National Trust land on the hills above gives long walks and views back along the coast.
