Golspie is an east Sutherland village at the foot of Ben Bhraggie, whose summit carries the towering “Mannie” — a statue of the first Duke of Sutherland, a divisive figure for his part in the Clearances. A steep path climbs to it and the wide view. Just north is Dunrobin Castle, the fairytale seat of the Sutherlands, open to visitors with falconry displays. The station is in the village.
