Loch Fleet is a tidal basin just south of Golspie, and one of the easier places on this coast to watch wildlife. Common and grey seals haul out on the sandbanks at low tide, waders and wildfowl work the mudflats, and the reserve takes in a stretch of old Scots pinewood too. There’s open access off the A9, and Golspie station is about 5km to the north-east.
