Fletching is a long single street of tile-hung cottages running up to a spired Norman church. Sheffield Park and its landscaped gardens, laid out by Capability Brown, lie a short way south, along with a station on the Bluebell Railway. Uckfield is the nearest mainline station, about 5km to the south-east.
