Dufftown bills itself as the malt whisky capital of the world, and with several distilleries around the town, Glenfiddich among them, it has a fair claim. The clock tower at the central crossroads is the obvious meeting point, while old Mortlach Parish Church at the edge of town goes back far further than any of the whisky. Keith station is about 16km to the north-east.
