Aberlour sits on the River Spey in the heart of Speyside, and you’ll know the name from two things: Walkers Shortbread, still baked in the village, and the Aberlour distillery on the main street. It’s a good base for the Speyside Way, which runs right through, and an easy hop up the valley to Craigellachie. Keith station is about 18km to the north-east.
