The Macallan’s home near Craigellachie is as much a piece of architecture as a distillery — a Norman Foster building opened in 2018, its turf-roofed curves set into the hillside of the Easter Elchies estate. Tours and tastings are paid and need booking well ahead, as it’s a popular one. Keith is the nearest station, about 17km to the north-east.
