Something different among all the distilleries: the Speyside Cooperage near Craigellachie is a working yard where coopers build and repair the oak casks the whisky matures in. From a viewing gallery you watch them raise, char and hammer barrels together by hand. Paid entry. Keith station is about 16km to the north-east.
