Drumnadrochit is the main village on Loch Ness and the centre of the Nessie industry, sitting in the green bowl of Glen Urquhart just back from the water. The Loch Ness Centre here tells the monster story straight, and the dramatic ruins of Urquhart Castle stand on a promontory over the loch a couple of miles south, one of the most visited spots in the whole Highlands.
