Beaulieu sits on the tidal Beaulieu River in the New Forest, its short street of tile-hung cottages running down to the water. The Cistercian abbey ruins, Palace House and the National Motor Museum share one estate you pay to enter, though the village itself is free to wander. Bucklers Hard lies a short way downriver. Beaulieu Road station is about 6km to the north-west.
