Edmund Burke and G. K. Chesterton are both buried in Beaconsfield, an old coaching town on the London road. Its broad high street splits into four named ends — Aylesbury, Windsor, London and Wycombe — lined with Georgian inns. On the edge of town is Bekonscot, the miniature landscape of towns and railways that has been running since the 1920s. Beaconsfield station is about 1.5km north-west.
