A scatter of houses on the shore of Loch Hourn, Arnisdale sits at the very end of the single-track road out from Glenelg, hemmed in by steep mountains on every side. It’s about as far as you can drive into this corner of the west Highlands. The setting, looking across the sea loch to the Knoydart hills, is stunning, and the road in is a slow, winding treat in its own right.
