Approximate location — this spot is pinned to the nearest village, so the exact point may be a little way off.

Pensthorpe is a wildlife park in the Wensum valley near Fakenham, set around former gravel-pit lakes with aviaries and wetland trails. Its Millennium Garden was designed by the Dutch planter Piet Oudolf, all loose drifts of grasses and perennials. There are large indoor and outdoor play areas too, so it fills a day for families. Paid entry, and best reached by car.
