Mainland Britain's westernmost granite headland.
Land’s End is the far south-western tip of mainland England, granite cliffs dropping to the Atlantic with the Longships Lighthouse standing offshore. The headland itself is open and free to walk; the signpost and the visitor complex behind it are the paid part, and easily skirted. The coast path north soon reaches Sennen Cove and its beach. Penzance station is about 14km back inland.
