The Logan Rock is a huge balanced boulder out on the Treryn Dinas headland near Treen. In 1824 a young naval lieutenant, Hugh Goldsmith, and his crew levered it off its perch to disprove the local claim that it couldn’t be shifted — then were made to haul it back at their own expense. Reaching it means a walk out along the coast path and a scramble over the rocks.
