Approximate location — this spot is pinned to the nearest village, so the exact point may be a little way off.

Kilnsey Crag is the great overhanging limestone cliff in Wharfedale, its jutting nose left behind by glaciers grinding down the valley. You can take it in straight from the roadside — no walking needed — and you’ll often spot climbers working the famously steep roof above the road. The Tennant Arms and Kilnsey Park trout farm sit right beneath it if you want to make more of a stop. Gargrave station is about 15km south.
