Clyde Muirshiel is Scotland’s largest regional park, stretching across the moors and lochs of inland Renfrewshire out to the Firth of Clyde coast. The main visitor centre sits at Castle Semple near Lochwinnoch, where you can hire boats or set off on waymarked trails; other gateways lead up to Muirshiel and the Greenock Cut. It’s free to explore, with the nearest station at Lochwinnoch.
