Tiny and gloriously unchanged, the Red Lion is a two-room inn in the hamlet of Langthwaite, deep in Arkengarthdale. The village featured in the opening titles of the original All Creatures Great and Small, and little seems to have altered here since. Food is limited — this is a pub for a quiet pint. No station within striking distance.
