Known to everyone simply as the CB, the Charles Bathurst Inn stands high in remote Arkengarthdale above Langthwaite, with long views down the valley. It’s a rambling dining inn with rooms, well regarded for its food and a welcome sight after a walk on these empty moors. Its sister pub is the Punch Bowl over at Low Row. No station for many miles.
