A traditional stone pub facing the big green at Reeth, the Black Bull pours real ale and honest Dales cooking for the walkers who fill Swaledale through the summer. Friendly and unfussy, it’s a dependable stop before or after a day on the fells. Reeth sits a long way from any railway — Garsdale is about 26km west — so most people arrive by car or on foot.
