The Pheasant closed in 2006 and sat derelict for years until the village bought it back: the Neenton Community Society restored the eighteenth-century inn and reopened it in 2014, and the community still owns it. It’s now a smart country dining pub with rooms, ringed by the south Shropshire hills and cooking local produce — a genuine village revival rather than a chain makeover.
