Solva runs down a steep-sided inlet to a tidal harbour on St Brides Bay, and the Cambrian Inn is the village pub partway along the lower street. It does food and makes a good pause on the coast between St Davids and Newgale. No station is close by — Haverfordwest is the nearest, well to the south-east.
