Whitesands is the main surf beach near St Davids, a long stretch of pale sand below the crag of Carn Llidi with Ramsey Island across the sound. Lifeguards patrol in summer, there’s board hire and a car park behind the dunes, and the coast path leads north to St David’s Head. It fills up in August, so come early.
