Approximate location — this spot is pinned to the nearest village, so the exact point may be a little way off.
St David’s Head is the rocky far-western point of the Welsh mainland, a walk of a couple of miles from Whitesands Bay below the crag of Carn Llidi. The heath is scattered with prehistoric remains — an Iron Age promontory fort, hut circles and the Coetan Arthur burial chamber. It’s open access on foot; there’s no road to the tip, only the coast path out from St Davids.
