Porthclais is a narrow, sheltered inlet just south of St Davids, where a short stone quay and a row of restored lime kilns mark its long spell as the city’s working harbour. By tradition St David was baptised at a spring nearby. The National Trust looks after it now; there’s a small car park at the head of the creek, and the coast path passes straight through.
