The ruined chapel above St Non’s Bay marks the traditional birthplace of St David, said to have been born here to St Non during a storm. Little survives but a rectangle of walls on the clifftop, one of the older Christian sites in Wales. St Non’s Well sits just below, a holy spring once famous for curing eye troubles and still fed with thrown coins. A 1934 chapel and a retreat house stand nearby. It’s a short walk from St Davids Cathedral, a mile or so north.
