The Brackenrigg is an eighteenth-century coaching inn set on a rise above Ullswater, serving scratch-cooked pub classics and wood-fired pizzas with the lake laid out below. Rooms and long views come with it. Pooley Bridge and the foot of the lake are a short way along the shore, and Arthur’s Pike rises to the south for anyone wanting a fell before dinner.
