The gardens at Monteviot sit above the River Teviot near Ancrum, with a walled rose garden, a water garden of islands and bridges, and terraces looking out to the hills. The gardens open seasonally with an admission charge, while the house itself stays private. A gorgeous spot to visit when the roses are out in summer.
