Milton Hall has belonged to the Fitzwilliam family, and now the Naylor-Leylands, since the early 1500s, and it’s still lived in — so there’s no regular public opening. Its Palladian south front was added by architect Henry Flitcroft in the 18th century, and Humphry Repton drew up proposals for the park in 1791. Small group tours can be pre-booked through the estate, and the gardens open occasionally for charity and Heritage Open Days events. Ferry Meadows Country Park is a short drive south.
