After somewhere green on the edge of Leeds? Golden Acre Park spreads over 179 acres at Bramhope, built around a lake with wildfowl, demonstration gardens and mature woodland. It holds national plant collections including lilac and hosta, and paths link out towards the Adel Dam nature reserve. Free and open access, with a café near the entrance. Easy to pair with the Norman church at Adel just to the east.
