Frampton Court stands back from the great green at Frampton on Severn, a Georgian house built for the Clifford family in the 1730s and still theirs. Behind it a long ornamental canal runs down to a Gothic orangery in the ‘Strawberry Hill’ style, with octagonal towers and crenellations — once called the prettiest garden building in England. The house and orangery are let as holiday stays and the garden opens by arrangement. Cam & Dursley station is about 6km south.
