Champs Hill sits above Amberley Wildbrooks at Coldwaltham, laid out across three former sand quarries and planted with heathers, rhododendrons and azaleas, with sculpture dotted about and views to the Downs. It’s private, opening only on a few National Garden Scheme days and by arrangement for groups, so check dates ahead. Pulborough station is about 3km to the north-east.
