Bramham Park’s early-18th-century garden was laid out for Robert Benson, 1st Baron Bingley, drawing on French and Italian gardens he’d seen on his Grand Tour — geometric avenues, a stone cascade and a scatter of temples survive largely intact. The house stood empty for 80 years after an 1828 fire, restored around 1908 under architect Detmar Blow. The Lane Fox family still live there and run the Bramham International Horse Trials each June. Gardens open by appointment on weekdays outside trials and festival closures, with an admission charge. Bramham village sits at the gate.
