April House is a hillside garden at Llanvair Discoed, made by its owners on a slope looking out over Wentwood forest and the Vale of Usk. It opens on a handful of charity days each year rather than keeping regular hours, so it is worth timing a visit for one of those. Severn Tunnel Junction station is about 5km south.
